Avoid Costly Mistakes: CISE Women’s Wing to Host ‘Read Before You Sign’ Workshop
Understanding the fine print before signing any agreement can save individuals from unexpected legal and financial challenges. To promote legal awareness within the community, the CISE Women’s Wing is organizing a free educational workshop titled “Read Before You Sign” on Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the India Centre, 9504 – 37 Avenue NW, Edmonton.
The workshop aims to educate community members on the importance of carefully reviewing contracts before signing them. The session will focus on:
Cell Phone Contracts
Residential Tenancy Contracts
Employment Contracts
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn from experienced speakers who will explain common contract clauses, discuss legal protections, highlight potential risks, and answer participants’ questions. The workshop is especially beneficial for newcomers, students, employees, tenants, and families, but anyone interested in improving their understanding of everyday contracts is welcome to attend.
The organizers encourage community members not to miss this valuable opportunity to gain knowledge that can help prevent costly mistakes and make informed decisions in everyday life.
