The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has issued a nationwide recall for Compliments Smashed 100% Chicken Burgers because the product contains undeclared egg, an allergen that is not listed on the product label. The recall warns that the product could pose a serious health risk to people who are allergic or sensitive to eggs.
According to the CFIA, consuming the affected product may trigger mild to severe allergic reactions, including hives, swelling, difficulty breathing, and in some cases anaphylaxis, a potentially life-threatening medical emergency.
