Back-to-School Community Event Invitation

Education is one of the most important investments we can make in the future of our community, our province, and our country. It provides the foundation for lifelong learning, helping students understand the past, navigate the present, and prepare for the future. Every child deserves the opportunity to succeed, and access to essential school supplies helps ensure that all students can begin the school year with confidence and the tools they need to learn.
Many families face financial challenges when preparing their children for a new school year. By working together as a community, we can help reduce this burden and ensure that every student has the opportunity to reach their full potential. Supporting students with school supplies is more than providing backpacks and notebooks—it is an investment in their education, their confidence, and their future success.
To support students attending elementary school, junior high, high school, college, or trade programs, we are pleased to host our Back-to-School Event in conjunction with our weekly Food Hamper Program.
Date: Sunday, August 16, 2026
Time: 3:00 p.m.
Location: PACE
Please see the attached event poster for additional information.
We would like to warmly invite you to attend this special event. Your presence and support will encourage students as they prepare to return to school for the 2026–2027 academic year and demonstrate our community’s commitment to helping every student succeed.
If you know of any students or families who may need school supplies, please share this information with them and encourage them to attend.
As part of this event, we will award five (5) $100 gift cards to students to help purchase school supplies. To qualify, students are invited to submit a 500-word essay on the topic:
“How Volunteering Helps Build a Stronger and Better Community.”
We look forward to welcoming you on August 16, 2026, as we come together to support students, strengthen families, and celebrate the beginning of another successful school year through our Back-to-School Event and weekly Food Hamper Program.
Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of students and help build a stronger, more caring community.
